I hope you will take a moment and read my article, "5 Tools to Simplify and Customize Your Job Search". In this article I share some of my top-secret tricks for decreasing the time it takes to search job listings. Okay, maybe they're not top secret, but these tools have been invaluable in my search for jobs for myself and for those I list on Green Gigs. Feel free to recommend any job search tools you have found helpful in the comments!
Just two listings today, there are a couple others out there I chose not to list for various reasons, but the two listed below look promising. We're heading into that great wilderness known as family camping, so I'll catch you after the weekend. Rock on green friends.
PlanetGreen.com (Treehugger's sister site) is looking for a part-time freelance writer. The gig calls for 5-15 (500-750 words each) articles per week. The ideal candidate will have SEO knowledge, social media experience, have a "big" personality, and of course knowledge of environmental issues. Visit Treehugger for application instructions (there are specific questions to answer - be sure to answer them in your application!).
This one is a writer's market accepting queries that came to my attention via Freelance Writing Jobs. Mother Jones Magazine (both web and print) is accepting queries from freelance writers on various topics including environmental topics. Read their query details carefully, they are looking for "hard-hitting" news pieces and "thought-provoking" opinion articles appropriate for both web (1,500 words) and print (5,000 words). They are more likely to purchase articles with the "timeliness" for print and web, not web only.
